HOW TO CONNECT YOUR SOLAR PANELS IN PARALLEL
When wiring Solar panels in a Parallel connection, the amperage (current) is addictive, but the voltage remains the same. e.g if you have 4 panels in a parallel connection and each is rated at 12 Volts and 5 amps. The entire array will be 12 Volts 20 amps.
Steps on how to connect your solar panels in Parallel
1.
Connect the positive terminal of the first solar panel to the positive terminal
of the second solar panel and also negative terminal of the first solar panel
to the negative terminal of the second solar panel.
2.
Repeat step 1 for second Solar panel to the third solar panel and same
for third Solar panel to the fourth Solar panel.
3.
Then connect the negative terminal of the fourth Solar panel to the negative
terminal of the charge controller and also the positive terminal of the last
solar panel to the positive terminal of the charge controller.
That's how you connect your solar panels in parallel in 3 single steps.
